Product Highlights
I ordered this advent calendar after much consideration and thorough browsing of the market, eventually deciding on this purchase for its value for money, due to the volume and diversity of items it contains. The Sephora Favourites Advent Calendar offers an array of both popular and niche beauty brands across a variety of categories from makeup to skincare to hair care, as well as fragrance and body care.
In terms of my personal standout products, I'm especially eager to use the Topicals Slather Exfoliating Body Serum. Topicals is a newer brand, only recently becoming available in the UK via Sephora, meaning I haven't been able to try any of their products yet, although I have heard great reviews and I typically enjoy exfoliating body care.
As for skincare there are a plethora of trending and classic products which I have been curious to try which are included in this calendar, particularly the Glow Recipe moisturiser and Tatcha's matcha cleanser, as these are renowned premium products which I haven't been able to justify buying otherwise.
There are even more exciting inclusions in the makeup category with full sizes of popular items from massive brands such as Charlotte Tilbury's highlighter wand and the Rare Beauty lip oil. For haircare, I'm interested to try the Straand scalp scrub, as despite never using this brand before, I appreciate that this is a full size product, allowing consumers to fully test its effectiveness.
Lastly, the calendar includes many exciting fragrances, including a Glossier You rollerball, further increasing the product's value for money.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I believe that the Sephora Favourites Advent Calendar is unmatched by its luxury beauty competitors. While other beauty giants such as Benefit Cosmetics and Charlotte Tilbury have also released enticing Advent calendars, these are brand specific options, meaning they lack the same product diversity, as well as featuring significantly less full-sized products.
The Space NK Advent Calendar is likely the most comparable alternative in terms of product variety, however it is £50 more expensive with fewer items, making Sephora the clear victor in my opinion.
I bought this calendar collectively with my two sisters, which I would recommend as a more cost-effective way to experience the excitement of this product. With 40 beauty offerings included, there are plenty of amazing products to go around, and this also allows everyone to select the items which are most suited to their routine.
The Sephora Favourites Advent Calendar would also make a great present, whether you generously purchase it for one person, or get creative and design curated gift bags for each of your family and friends, maximising the already great value of this product.
